TT course fully reopened following medical incident at Crosby; schedule unchanged

By 3FM Published 27 May 2026

The Isle of Man TT is back on track after all roads surrounding the famous Mountain Course were reopened on Wednesday evening, 27 May 2026. Following a red flag incident earlier in the day, TT organisers have confirmed that the course closure has been lifted and normal operations will resume, with the schedule remaining unchanged.

What Happened During Tonight's Practice Session

Tonight's TT practice session was halted due to a non-racing medical emergency at Crosby, prompting race officials to stop all bikes entering the course immediately. The sidecar riders involved in the incident have been identified as Ryan and Callum Crowe. While the closure of the course was extended to manage the situation safely, organisers worked quickly to reopen all roads around the circuit.

Rest Day Tomorrow, Thursday 28 May

The Mountain Course will remain closed tomorrow, Thursday 28 May, as scheduled with a planned rest day. The clerk of the course has confirmed there will be no contingency session tomorrow, and all TT activities will resume on Friday as originally timetabled. This gives the medical team, course officials, and riders a full day to prepare for the next phase of racing.

Planning Your TT Visit

If you're heading to the Isle of Man for the TT, remember to check road closures and plan your travel accordingly. The Steam Packet has also reminded visitors to ensure they provide accurate vehicle measurements when booking their ferry crossing, helping to streamline your journey to and from the Island.
