Mountain Road access temporarily restricted for essential maintenance work
Visitors and residents planning to explore the scenic Mountain Road area should note that the Beinn Y Phott Road will be temporarily closed this week for essential repairs. From Tuesday, March 10, the route between Brandywell and Injebreck Cottage will be shut for three days while the Department of Infrastructure carries out extensive restoration work.
If you're planning a trip to discover the Island's stunning upland landscapes and outdoor attractions, we recommend checking local travel updates before heading out during this period. The Mountain Road remains one of the Isle of Man's most picturesque driving routes, offering breathtaking views across the Island and access to popular walking trails and natural heritage sites.
For the latest traffic updates and alternative routes, keep an eye on the Department of Infrastructure announcements. Once repairs are complete, the Beinn Y Phott Road will be restored to full access, welcoming visitors back to explore this beautiful part of our Island.
