If you're planning to explore Andreas or travel via the Beinn-y-Phott Road this summer, it's worth checking your route ahead. A series of planned closures will affect this key route as essential maintenance work takes place over the coming weeks.

Road Closures and Travel Disruptions

The Beinn-y-Phott Road will be completely closed to traffic between its junctions with the Mountain Road and the Sartfell Road on four separate dates:

  • Sunday, 28 June 2026 – 6am to 6pm
  • Sunday, 5 July 2026 – 6am to 6pm
  • Friday, 17 July 2026 – 6am to 6pm
  • Saturday, 18 July 2026 – 6am to 6pm

Between 28 June and 31 July, a temporary 20mph speed limit will be in place on the route to ensure safety during the works.

Plan Ahead for Your Isle of Man Travels

Whether you're visiting the Island or exploring Andreas and the northern regions, we recommend checking road conditions before you travel, particularly during these closure dates. Allow extra time for your journey and consider alternative routes where possible. For the latest updates on road works affecting your travels, stay tuned to local traffic information.
