2024 Senior TT Champion exploring all avenues to return for this year's races

Davey Todd, the reigning 2024 Senior TT Champion, is actively working to secure his fitness and eligibility for this year's Isle of Man TT Races, which get underway later this month. Despite missing out on competing at the North West 200 in Northern Ireland this week due to being declared medically unfit, the determined rider says he has "several options" to explore in his recovery journey.

Road Racer Fighting Back After Daytona Injury

Todd has been recuperating since March after sustaining injuries at the prestigious Daytona 200 in the USA. The medical team's decision to rule him out of the North West 200—one of the most important warm-up races ahead of the TT—was a significant setback for the Manx rider's preparation schedule.

Speaking to BBC Sport Northern Ireland, Todd expressed his determination to be ready, stating he is "raring to go" and confident about exploring the various pathways available to get him race-fit in time for the TT. The exact nature of these options remains under review as he continues his rehabilitation program.

A Race Against Time for TT Glory

With the Isle of Man TT Races fast approaching later this month, Todd's window to prove his medical fitness is closing. Fans of the legendary road racing event will be hoping to see the defending Senior champion back in action, as his absence would be a notable loss for one of the world's most prestigious motorcycle races.
