Join a meaningful early morning walk to support mental health awareness this Saturday
If you're an early riser looking for a purposeful way to spend your Saturday morning, the Isle of Man Samaritans are inviting walkers of all abilities to join their Dawn Walk this weekend. It's a chance to connect with your community while supporting an important cause focused on mental health awareness across the Island.
The event kicks off at 6:30am on Saturday, March 28, departing from the Bottleneck Car Park on Douglas promenade. This early morning walk is designed to raise awareness of the mental health support services available to Island residents who may be struggling. Whether you're a keen walker or prefer a gentle pace, all are welcome to participate.
After completing the walk, participants will head to Looky's Lounge Bar, where there's an opportunity to relax over a warm cup of tea and have a chat with fellow walkers and Samaritans volunteers. It's a lovely way to wind down after your early start and connect with others in a supportive atmosphere.
The Samaritans are available 24/7 to anyone on the Island experiencing emotional distress or in crisis. This Dawn Walk is a practical way to show solidarity with those facing mental health challenges and to help break down the stigma surrounding these important conversations.
