Earl the Laxey cat, one of the Isle of Man's most recognisable residents, is on the mend after a weekend altercation with a rival feline left him nursing minor injuries and minus one stylish accessory.

Famous Laxey Cat Loses His Signature Collar in Neighbourhood Dispute

The well-known moggy, who has charmed countless visitors to the iconic Laxey Wheel, came home worse for wear on Sunday following the scrap. Owner Sharna Keig reported that while Earl got away with only scratches and a bruised ego, the encounter cost him something far more precious — his distinctive yellow collar adorned with a baby blue bow tie.

Keen to reunite Earl with his lost accessory, Sharna has appealed to locals on his Facebook page to keep an eye out for the missing collar around the village. The charming detail perfectly captures Earl's personality and makes him instantly recognisable to the many tourists and residents who visit the famous Laxey landmark.

Despite his battle scars, Earl is recovering well and continues to be a beloved figure in the community. If you're visiting the Laxey Wheel and spot a yellow collar with a blue bow tie, the village's most famous cat would surely appreciate its return.
