Evening road closures continue as TT Festival preparations ramp up next week
If you're planning to travel across the Isle of Man this week, it's worth noting that the Mountain Road will be closing for essential TT preparations. The Department of Infrastructure is carrying out important maintenance work to ensure the iconic race route is in perfect condition for the festival, which kicks off next week.
The Mountain Road will close from 6:30pm to 10:30pm as teams trim verges and hedges along the famous TT course. If you need to reach the Bungalow during this time, you'll still be able to access it via Tholt y Will Road, so plan your route accordingly.
With warm, dry weather expected during the TT Festival, the Island's Fire & Rescue Service has issued a wildfire warning for the event. Visitors and residents should remain vigilant and follow all safety guidance to help keep the Island safe during this busy period.
The TT Festival is almost here, and the Island is buzzing with excitement. Whether you're a seasoned TT enthusiast or planning your first visit, now's the perfect time to book accommodation, plan your travel routes, and check local road updates to make the most of this world-famous motorcycle racing event.
