A group of determined fundraisers, including Isle of Man charity supporters, are taking on an epic challenge today—a near 150-mile walk from County Durham to Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium. The team is aiming to raise £4,000 for four charities, including the local cause Ed Space IOM, with the finish line coinciding with a Luke Combs concert this weekend.

From County Durham to Scottish Glory

Setting off at 9am from The Bluebird Boutique in Stanhope, best friends Rebecca Coates and Susan Yule are leading the charge. Former police officer Susan admitted to Manx Radio that the challenge seemed like a better idea when it was first suggested—but the team is ready to tackle every mile. With already over £3,000 raised before they even started, momentum is very much on their side.

Supporting Good Causes

The fundraisers are supporting four worthy charities through their efforts. Ed Space IOM is one of the key local beneficiaries, making this challenge particularly meaningful for the Isle of Man community. By combining fitness with fundraising, the team is demonstrating that determination and community spirit can go hand-in-hand.
