Healthcare services adjust operations due to hospital pressures
If you're planning a visit to the Isle of Man and require medical attention, it's worth knowing that Manx Care has temporarily paused non-emergency procedures this week. The decision comes as Noble's Hospital manages significant operational pressures and higher-than-usual demand for care.
The health service has made the difficult but necessary decision to suspend all elective procedures until Monday, May 18th. This temporary pause allows the hospital to focus resources on the most critical patients and manage current demand more effectively.
The good news for visitors and residents is that cancer care and urgent treatments will continue as normal. If you're travelling to the Island and have scheduled procedures, Manx Care advises contacting your healthcare provider directly about rescheduling options.
Planned surgeries and elective procedures are expected to resume their normal schedule from Monday, May 18th onwards. If you're considering scheduling any non-urgent medical procedures during your visit to the Island, it's advisable to plan ahead or contact Manx Care in advance to confirm availability.
