Art lovers and museum visitors rejoice – Bryan Kneale's beloved sculpture Yn Arreyder ('The Watcher') is making its triumphant return to the Manx Museum grounds today. After nearly four decades standing sentinel over Douglas Bay, this iconic piece was removed almost a year ago for essential conservation treatment and detailed condition assessment. Now fully restored, it's ready to resume its watchful presence overlooking the harbour.

If you're planning to visit the museum this afternoon, do note that the footbridge connecting Chester Street car park to the museum entrance will be closed between 2pm and 4pm to facilitate the re-installation. Diversions will be clearly signposted, and Manx National Heritage has apologised for any temporary inconvenience to visitors.
