Sitting MHK Tim Glover confirms candidacy for September election in key south island constituency
Tim Glover, the sitting Member of the House of Keys for Arbory, Castletown and Malew, has announced he will seek re-election in this year's general election. The announcement comes as candidates begin to declare their intentions ahead of the 24 September 2026 election date.
Glover has outlined an ambitious agenda focused on addressing some of the Isle of Man's most pressing issues. He emphasises that the pace of change has been frustratingly slow and there is much more work to be done to improve life on the island. His priorities include tackling the cost of living crisis, strengthening the economy, addressing the housing shortage, improving health services, and upgrading island infrastructure.
Should he be re-elected and given the right political leadership, Glover has indicated he would seek a position within the Council of Ministers. He also highlights the importance of having the right people in place to fill available roles across government.
The Arbory, Castletown and Malew constituency is shaping up to be a competitive race. Other candidates who have already declared include Mark Firth, Kirrie Jenkins, and Jeroen Wats. More candidates may yet announce their intentions before September's election.
