Important road closure planned for essential pipeline work next weekend
If you're planning to travel across Kewaigue Hill next weekend, it's worth noting that the route will be closed for essential maintenance work. Manx Utilities has announced the closure to complete remedial work on a newly installed pipeline following final inspections.
The closure will take effect from 9.30am on Friday, July 10th through to the evening of Sunday, July 12th. By starting after the morning rush hour, Manx Utilities aims to minimise disruption to commuters and visitors travelling across the Island.
During the final inspection of the pipeline installation, an issue was identified that requires remedial work before the project can be formally completed. This additional work is essential to ensure the infrastructure meets required standards and operates safely for the long term.
If you're travelling to or from the north of the Island during this period, we recommend allowing extra time for your journey and considering alternative routes where possible. The closure affects the weekend, so plan ahead if you have any leisure activities or attractions planned in the area.
For the latest updates on the closure and any potential changes, keep an eye on Manx Utilities announcements and local traffic reports throughout the week.
