New police recruits rally for mental health with quiz night fundraiser
The latest recruits to Isle of Man Constabulary are putting their training to good use by organising a charity quiz night this Friday. Student Police Constables Saul Law and Luke Sweetman are hosting the event to raise funds for Isle Stand Up to Suicide, an important local mental health charity supporting the Island community.
The quiz night takes place at Rushen Football Club in Port Erin on Friday, 27 March, starting at 6.30pm. Entry is just £10 per team, with a maximum of five people per team, and no booking is required — simply turn up on the night. It's a relaxed, community-focused event perfect for friends, families, and colleagues looking to support a worthwhile cause.
Alongside the quiz, the evening will feature raffle prizes generously donated by local businesses, giving attendees even more chances to win while contributing to the fundraising effort. The questions will range from housing to driverless vehicles, offering a diverse mix of topics to test your knowledge.
Isle Stand Up to Suicide plays a vital role in supporting mental health awareness and suicide prevention across the Island. By attending this quiz night, you're not only enjoying a fun evening out but directly supporting mental health services in our community.
Whether you're a keen quiz enthusiast or simply want to support a local cause, this is a great opportunity to engage with your neighbours while helping make a real difference.
