Race officials adjust schedule to secure the iconic Senior TT race on Friday afternoon

By 3FM Published 3 June 2026

After weather disruptions forced organisers to rethink their plans, TT officials have released an updated racing schedule that prioritises getting the highly anticipated Senior TT race back on track. With an unsettled forecast predicted for the coming days, the new timetable has been carefully crafted to maximise racing opportunities while keeping contingencies in place for further delays.

The New Schedule: What Visitors Need to Know

The Senior TT is now scheduled for 4.15pm on Friday, June 5th — a prime slot that gives fans and competitors the best chance of ideal racing conditions. Leading up to the main event, three laps of the Superstock race will take place at 11.45am on Thursday, June 4th, with all Island roads closing at 10am that morning.

Friday and Saturday Racing

Race officials have scheduled three races for Friday and two races for Saturday, with contingency plans to move Saturday's events to Sunday if weather forces further disruptions. This flexible approach reflects the unpredictable conditions that have plagued the early stages of race week.

Planning Your TT Experience

If you're visiting the Isle of Man for the races, it's worth checking the official TT schedule before heading to the course, as further adjustments may be necessary. The Grandstand's fan park will also be back open to spectators shortly after closing temporarily earlier this week. Keep an eye on official TT communications for any last-minute updates, and make sure you're prepared for variable weather conditions.
