It's Legit Racing is set to make history at the 2026 Isle of Man TT, becoming the first team to compete at the world-famous event using sustainable fuel. The team will power rider Ryan Garside on a Triumph Daytona 660 using a fuel blend that is 40 percent sustainable. This innovative fuel contains less than 0.1 percent ethanol and features second-generation biomass derived from food and agricultural waste, straw, and other non-food by-products. Unlike conventional fossil fuels, these materials recycle carbon already in the atmosphere rather than releasing ancient carbon reserves, making them significantly cleaner for the planet.
The environmental benefits are substantial: the sustainable fuel blend is estimated to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 38 percent compared to conventional racing fuel. Mark Bannister, team owner, expressed the significance of this milestone: "This is one of the best races in the world to compete in and we intend to make history not just with our performance but through our fuel choices too. As a team we believe sustainable fuels are key to securing a brighter future for our sport and the planet."
SUSTAIN has already proven its credentials across multiple racing disciplines, including the prestigious Dakar Rally.
