After years of dedicated restoration work, Onchan Wetlands has officially reopened its doors to the public. The cherished natural space, known locally as Curragh Kiondroghad, is now ready to welcome visitors once again, thanks to the tireless efforts of a committed community team.

Owned and managed by the Manx Wildlife Trust, Onchan Wetlands has undergone significant restoration work aimed at returning the site to its 'original state and beauty'. What the Volunteers Achieved

Over recent months, the Onchan Wetlands Community Group has been hard at work modernising and securing the site's infrastructure. The team replaced the wooden boardwalk with a more durable aggregate surface, removed deteriorating beams, and completely restructured the walkway to ensure the site can withstand future environmental challenges and increased visitor footfall.
