Essential TT course maintenance this week – what visitors need to know
If you're planning to explore the legendary TT course this week, take note: Creg Willey's Hill in Glen Helen will be partially closed from today (Monday, March 2) through Friday, March 6. The Department of Infrastructure has announced daily closures between 9.30am and 3.30pm to carry out essential maintenance work, including tree felling and wall repairs along this iconic stretch of the Mountain Course.
The closure affects the section of road between Poortown Road and Lambfell, a scenic part of the famous racing circuit that attracts TT enthusiasts and curious visitors year-round. While the work is necessary to keep this historic route safe, motorsport fans and tourists should plan their visits to the western side of the Island accordingly, allowing extra time for alternative routes during these hours.
This maintenance is just one of several ongoing projects across the Island's infrastructure as the Department works to preserve both the TT course's legendary status and the natural landscape that makes it such a stunning destination. For the latest updates on road closures and travel planning, keep an eye on official announcements from the Department of Infrastructure.
