Weather forces cancellation of Thursday's SuperStock race; all roads remain open
Disappointing news for Isle of Man TT fans as another day of racing falls victim to the unpredictable weather. Thursday, 4 June was set to showcase thrilling SuperStock action, but forecasts of low cloud and persistent rain have forced organisers to make the difficult decision to cancel today's scheduled race.
Clerk of the Course Gary Thompson confirmed the cancellation early on Thursday morning, citing challenging weather conditions that would have made racing unsafe. There had been hopes to salvage the day with a later SuperStock race and possible practice lap, but these have also been ruled out due to the forecast conditions.
The good news is that all roads around the famous 37.73-mile Mountain Course will remain open throughout the day, allowing visitors to explore the Island and soak in the TT atmosphere. The Grandstand's popular fan park, which had briefly closed earlier in the week, will also remain accessible for spectators.
TT organisers are preparing an updated schedule to outline when racing will resume. Fans are advised to check official channels regularly for announcements, as the notorious Isle of Man weather could shift at any moment. Stay tuned for further updates as the event continues.
