Good news for residents and visitors in the north of the Isle of Man – urgent care is coming back to your doorstep. Manx Care has announced that the Minor Injury and Illness Unit at Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital will reopen on Monday, 18 May 2026, bringing both immediate treatment and diagnostic support back to the community.

Ramsey Healthcare Services Return with Extended Hours

The reopened unit will operate from 8am to 8pm daily, with last admissions at 7:30pm, offering convenient access to urgent care for sprains, minor fractures, infections, and other non-emergency health concerns. Alongside the treatment services, on-site X-ray facilities will also resume, eliminating the need for patients to travel south for diagnostic imaging.

TT and Race Week Coverage

Recognising the Island's busy events calendar, Manx Care has planned extended seven-day-a-week operations during TT and other racing periods, ensuring visitors and locals alike can access immediate healthcare support during peak times when the Island welcomes thousands of motorsport enthusiasts.

What This Means for North Island Residents

This reopening represents a significant step in restoring healthcare services across the Island and reducing travel burden on northern communities. Patients can now access urgent treatment and diagnostic support closer to home, improving both convenience and quality of life for Ramsey residents and visitors exploring the picturesque north coast.
