Lace up your walking boots for a scenic charity challenge across the Isle of Man this September

Get ready to make a real difference this autumn. The beloved Ivan Soulsbury Coast 2 Coast Walk is returning on Sunday 6 September 2026, offering islanders and visitors alike the chance to explore the Island's stunning coastline while supporting a vital local charity. Whether you're a seasoned walker or looking for a rewarding outdoor adventure, this popular event promises an unforgettable day with a purpose.

Two Routes to Suit Every Level

Organised by Sight Matters and sponsored by Conister Bank, the walk invites participants to choose their own challenge. The main route takes walkers on a scenic journey from Douglas to Peel, showcasing some of the Island's most beautiful landscapes. Those preferring a shorter challenge can start from St John's, ensuring everyone can participate at their own pace.

All proceeds go directly to supporting blind and visually impaired people on the Isle of Man, helping them live independently and confidently. Every walker who completes the route receives a digital certificate of achievement to commemorate their effort.

What to Expect on the Day

  • Water stations and first aid points positioned along the route
  • Trained marshals supporting walkers throughout
  • Water bowls available for four-legged friends
  • Support for blind or visually impaired participants with their own guides

Practical Information

Registration costs are £15 for adults and £5 for children under 16. Entries are now open and close on 3 September. You can register online or visit Sight Matters' offices at Corrin Court, Onchan. Organisers recommend wearing suitable footwear and weather-appropriate clothing—and yes, dogs are welcome too!

"This event really brings the Island together," says Cathryn Bradley, CEO of Sight Matters. "Whether it's the full route or the shorter challenge, every step raises awareness and supports our vital work across the community." Don't miss your chance to be part of something special this September.
