Senior TT race halted after incident at 11th Milestone; rider airlifted to hospital
The Senior TT Race came to an abrupt halt on Friday evening, 5 June, following a red flag incident at the 11th Milestone. A competitor was airlifted to Noble's Hospital for assessment, though officials confirmed the rider was conscious and communicating at the time of transport.
Race Control made the decision not to restart the event that evening, citing insufficient time within the road closure period to complete the full four-lap distance. The Clerk of the Course determined that attempting a restart would be impractical given the remaining daylight and infrastructure availability.
As a result, the Senior TT has been rescheduled for Saturday, 6 June. A revised race schedule will be announced in due course, allowing spectators and participants to plan accordingly.
If you're planning to visit the Isle of Man during the TT fortnight, keep an eye on official announcements for updated race times and road closure information. The iconic motorcycle racing event draws visitors from around the world, and schedule changes are communicated promptly through official TT channels and local media.
