Brief road closures expected as TT racing action resumes this evening
The Isle of Man TT is in full swing, and if you're planning to travel around the island this evening, there's good news: most roads will reopen briefly between 5pm and 6pm on Tuesday, June 2. The TT organising team has confirmed that the roads open car has departed St Ninian's and is making its way around the course. All roads except the Mountain Road are expected to open briefly this evening, giving residents and visitors a window to move around the island. However, expect closures to return at 6:30pm when the rescheduled Sportbike race gets underway.
All roads around the course are scheduled to reopen no later than 10:30pm, so plan your evening journeys accordingly if you're travelling during TT fortnight. This is a key consideration for tourists exploring the island or heading to restaurants and attractions away from the course.
