Essential maintenance work to reshape the legendary circuit ahead of TT 2026

Calling all TT enthusiasts and road trip planners: the iconic Mountain Course is getting a major refresh this spring. From Monday, March 9 through Friday, May 8, temporary speed restrictions will be in place across key sections of the famous circuit as the Department of Infrastructure carries out essential maintenance and preparations for this year's TT Festival.

Expect 30mph and 40mph zones on stretches between Creg Ny Baa Back Road and Hillberry, as well as four sections between Quarterbridge and Sulby Village. These restrictions will run from 6am to 6pm daily, giving contractors ample time to work while keeping traffic moving during evenings and weekends. It's all part of ensuring the course is in pristine condition for the world's greatest road race.

If you're planning a visit to the Isle of Man this spring, factor in some extra time on your journey around the TT course. While you're here, explore the unique heritage and natural beauty that makes the Island special—and look out for the newly restored 19th century house that's being revitalised at one of the TT landmarks. It's another reason to love this remarkable corner of the world.
