Travel plans adjusted as Steam Packet schedules maintenance work on the Manxman

By 3FM Published 15 June 2026

If you're planning to travel between the Isle of Man and Lancashire next week, take note: Steam Packet has rescheduled two key sailings on Tuesday, June 16 to allow essential maintenance work on the Manxman.

What's Changing for Your Journey

The 8:30am crossing from Douglas to Heysham will be replaced by the Manannan, departing an hour earlier at 7:30am. The return sailing from Lancashire has also been adjusted, moving from its scheduled 2:15pm departure to 11:30am.

Getting Around the Changes

To help passengers adapt to the new timetable, Steam Packet is providing a coach transfer from Lancaster Station to Heysham at 10am. This ensures smooth connections for travellers catching the rescheduled morning sailing.

Plan Ahead

While maintenance work is essential for keeping our ferry services safe and reliable, we recommend passengers check their booking confirmations and allow extra time for journey planning. The Manannan remains a comfortable vessel for the crossing, with all standard onboard facilities available.
