Hospitality vendors celebrate upgraded TT Grandstand experience in Douglas

As the roar of engines fills the air during TT race week, the hospitality sector is equally excited about what's on offer at the track. This year's TT Grandstand fan park in Douglas has attracted top catering businesses from across the UK and beyond, all eager to serve the thousands of visitors descending on the island for the world's most famous motorcycle racing event.

Food Vendors Praise New Grandstand Setup

Hospitality businesses have given enthusiastic feedback on this year's TT Grandstand experience, with increased emphasis on vendors operating in a consolidated area. Lee from The Street Diner, who recently catered at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Sunderland, is among those impressed. He's clear about where the TT stands compared to other major events: "The TT is our crown jewel."

Just a short distance away, Scott Filbey of Filbey's Little Food Shack is equally upbeat about the atmosphere building in the fan park. The consolidated vendor approach appears to be creating the buzz organisers hoped for, offering visitors a vibrant food and hospitality experience alongside the racing action.

Hotels See Booking Surge

The hospitality boom extends beyond the Grandstand. A short walk down Douglas Promenade, the Welbeck Hotel is experiencing increased demand. Owner Michael George attributes the surge to the TT being "on another level" this year, boosted by significantly expanded digital coverage bringing the event to a global audience.

As race day approaches, further updates on the event programme are expected from DEFA in June. For visitors planning their TT experience, booking accommodation and checking out the enhanced Grandstand offerings early is highly recommended.
