Weather forces postponement of Carole Nash Sportbike TT Race 1 for second time

By ManxRadio Published 2 June 2026

Fans hoping to witness the Carole Nash Sportbike TT Race 1 will have to wait a little longer. TT 2026 organisers have confirmed that no further racing action will take place on Tuesday, 2 June, after the event was postponed for a second time due to challenging weather conditions across the Island.

Weather Forces Second Postponement of the Day

Despite an encouraging weather forecast earlier in the day, the Clerk of the Course made the decision to cancel all remaining race action this evening. Heavy showers moving in from the west of the Island, combined with further rainfall expected throughout the evening, made conditions unsuitable for racing on the famous Mountain Course.

The Mountain Road currently remains closed as a result of the weather conditions. Organisers are continuing to monitor afternoon and evening conditions closely to determine when racing can safely resume.
