Mountain Road closures pushed back an hour as fog impacts TT race day operations
Visitors heading to the Isle of Man TT races on Tuesday, 2 June should plan for a one-hour delay to today's racing schedule. The Clerk of the Course has announced adjusted road closure times to accommodate weather conditions affecting the famous course.
The Mountain Road will close at 10am, with the remainder of the course following at 11am. Spectators and competitors can expect Supersport and Superbike races to take place during the morning session, with roads reopening this afternoon before the first Superstock race gets underway this evening.
All roads are scheduled to reopen by 10:30pm tonight, allowing residents and visitors to resume normal travel. Additionally, TT organisers have confirmed that Saturday's cancelled Superstock race will be rescheduled for tomorrow evening, ensuring competitors and fans get the full racing experience.
Ronaldsway Airport continues to experience disruptions from persistent fog and mist today, which may affect travel plans for visitors arriving by air. If you're planning to visit the TT races, check with your airline for any flight delays or cancellations.
Police have reminded road users to follow course regulations, with reports of riders travelling the wrong way on the Mountain Road. Whether you're a spectator or participant, familiarise yourself with the race schedule and road closures before heading out.
