Service disruptions affect Isle of Man ferry passengers on Thursday
If you're planning to travel between the Isle of Man and Heysham today, you'll need to adjust your plans. Steam Packet has cancelled two sailings of the Manxman due to a technical issue, leaving passengers to seek alternative travel arrangements.
The 9:15am sailing from Douglas to Heysham and the 3:15pm return crossing from Heysham have both been cancelled, according to Steam Packet Company. Additionally, the Manxman is expected to arrive more than two hours late on its morning crossing from Heysham, which may impact onward travel plans for passengers.
Anyone travelling between the Island and the northwest of England is advised to check the latest sailing updates before heading to the terminal. With summer tourism season approaching, these cancellations serve as a reminder to book ahead and stay informed about service changes, especially during peak travel times.
If you're heading to or from the Isle of Man in the coming weeks, consider building extra time into your itinerary and regularly checking Steam Packet's website for any schedule updates or technical issues that may affect your journey.
