Weather delays Fan Park reopening as TT organisers work to improve ground conditions
The TT Fan Park at the Grandstand is reopening its doors from 3pm today, following an overnight closure due to heavy rainfall. Visitors heading down to soak up the electric atmosphere of TT Race Week are being asked to take extra care, as ground conditions remain challenging after the downpour.
Organisers have been working hard to improve access routes around the venue, but the lower entrance will remain closed for safety reasons. Access will only be available via the Grandstand entrance to help manage the soft ground conditions. The TT Grandstand team has thanked fans for their patience and understanding as they work to make the site safe for visitors.
If you're planning to visit the Fan Park later today, be prepared for potentially muddy and soft underfoot conditions. Sensible footwear is highly recommended, and take your time moving around the site. Despite the wet weather challenges, the RAF aerobatic team display is still scheduled to go ahead, so there's plenty of TT action to enjoy.
Alongside the Fan Park reopening, police officers continue to urge all road users—whether on two wheels or four—to ride and drive safely throughout the TT period. The famous motorcycle racing event draws visitors from across the globe, so staying vigilant helps keep everyone safe during this exciting time on the Isle of Man.
