Women Riders World Relay leads iconic TT Legacy Lap celebration on 31 May
This Sunday, 31 May 2026, the Isle of Man's iconic TT Legacy Lap will make history as the Women Riders World Relay takes the lead. Hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts are expected to gather for this speed-controlled ride-out, celebrating women's vital role in both the past and future of motorcycling on the Mountain Course.
The Women Riders World Relay—a global movement dedicated to connecting female riders worldwide—will lead the procession, sending a powerful message that motorcycling welcomes everyone. Isle of Man Ambassador Lisa expressed the significance of this milestone: "Seeing women at the front of the convoy sends a powerful message that motorcycling is for everyone and reflects WRWR's mission to inspire riders to be the best they can be."
Participants can gather on Glencrutchery Road in Douglas from 8:30am, with the ride departing from The Grandstand at 9:30am following a dramatic 'sound of thunder'. The route will follow the famous TT Course on open roads, offering riders and spectators a unique experience of this legendary racing circuit.
Originally introduced as the Simon Andrews Lap, the Legacy Lap has evolved into a cherished opportunity for the TT community to honour the memories, machines, and people who've shaped road racing on the Isle of Man. This year's celebration underscores that legacy while looking forward to an inclusive future for the sport.
Weather forecasts predict dry conditions with bright or sunny intervals—perfect riding weather for this special occasion.
